There has been a lot happening over the last week !
We have now over £100,000 invested with a month to go. Keep the money coming in,
please don’t leave it until the last minute !
We have an investor from Australia , He is Called John Stubbs whose Mum
Olive used to own “The Butcher’s Arms ”
I am sure some of you will remember him. It is great having his support in
this Community Venture.
We spoke for well over an hour there was a bit of catching up to do !
His sister Charlotte from Hexham is also going to invest.
Simon & Joanne Dann from Crosby Ravensworth who own a cafe in Ambleside called
“The Squires Coffee House” are showing the
Power Point presentation of the Butchers Arms on a large screen TV to
encourage people who are visiting the Lake District to invest.
We had a positive & informal meeting with a prospective tenant who would like
to have a viewing of the pub.
We are having help from Louis Mosley & Duncan Brown who are setting up
Twitter & Facebook. They are Rory Stewart’s Parliamentary assistants & alongside Anton
Draper & Mary Richardson of the DCLG, and have all been very helpful.
I have organized a display tomorrow at our local farmers market at Crosby
Ravensworth Village Hall, 2 to 7pm.
