Thanks to those of you who managed to come along to the pub yesterday . There were around 40 people there which was a good turnout considering a large number of people are on holiday at present.

Rory Stewart MP & Tom Lowther Cumbria County Councilor, handed over their share cheques & photos were taken to go in the press.

“The Dales” program, Mon 2nd May (Today) on ITV at 8pm will be showing The George & Dragon at Hudswell, Richmond.
We have modeled ourselves on this community owned pub.
Martin Booth who has been a great help to us has been instrumental in making the George & Dragon become a success.

Date for your diary- Radio 4  “In Business” at 8.30pm Thurs 5th May & repeated on Sun 8th May at 9.30pm. Cameron Smith treasurer represents the Lyvennet Community Pub Group.

Zoe Wood from The Observer/Guardian is also keen to do an article on The Butchers Arm’s.

We will hear this week if we have been successful in our £25,000 bid from the Cumberland Building Society Community Fund. Also awaiting the £15,000 from Cumbria County Council regeneration Fund and confirmation of c£6000 from EDC community fund.

Our prospective tenant will view The Butcher’s Arms and let us know where we stand.

I would be grateful if you could honor your share pledge in the next couple of weeks, please let me know ASAP if your circumstances have changed.

An 18,000 leaflet drop with The Cumberland & Westmorland Herald will take place this coming weekend.

A pub night has been arranged for Friday 13th May at Crosby Village Hall, this has been organised by member’s of the Village Hall Committee. Proceeds to go to Lyvennet community pub funds.
Snack’s available. Start’s at 7.30pm.
