Tenant’s Appointed At The Butchers Arms!

We have appointed tenants, they are called Keith Taylor & Bev Percy from Shap. They are both chef’s & are very enthusiastic that they can make the Butchers Arms a success.
Keith was joint owner of the Greyhound Hotel at Shap which rose to a incredible business & was noted for good food in this area. He left in 2008. Since the Greyhound was sold Keith has been a relief chef, but is now ready for a new challenge!!
Bev is a chef at the Westmorland Hotel. ( notice has been given to finish )
Keith & Bev’s aim is to serve good food, wines & beers & have a welcome for all.

The tenants do not want to take over the pub in it’s present state, they feel as do the director’s, that the pub does need the ground floor refurbishment to maximise the potential that the building has to offer & provide a nicer welcome.
All peoples needs, likes /dislikes have been taken into consideration from the open meeting held back in March.

It’s now time to roll up your sleeves & help if you can, there is quite an amount to do, the building is going to be painted internally & externally. The corridor from the entrance is to be knocked out to create more space making the lounge bar & present games room into one area.
The games room will be moved to the existing dining area next to the toilets. There will be a new bar, a focal point of welcome from entering into the pub.

If you can help this Sat 11th June from 9am that would be great.
