Eden District Council Grant To Community Pub

EDC has generously donated funds to help pay for the Butchers Arms community pub’s bar area – arguably the most important part of the pub!

The cheque for £5914 from Eden District Council’s Community Fund was presented by Councillors Joan Raine and Gordon Nicholson on Friday, 12th August.

The sleek bar area with its tasteful wooden bar and sweepingly curvaceous drop down ceiling is a huge improvement on its predecessor. The shelving facilities behind the bar harmonise nicely with the front and the space will allow multiple staff  to operate without entanglement or collision. Please also see the names of professional tradesmen/suppliers listed on the right who have devoted their expert skills, and kindly sponsored this hub of our community!

We extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the whole Lyvennet Valley Community for a bar area and fixtures of which we can all be proud, whether we come in search of alcoholic or soft beverages, a good feed, a jolly get-to-gether or a bed for the night!

Thank you to all who have devoted your time, skills and resources for Our Pub.
