The Countryside Alliance Awards, The Butchers Arms Community Pub have been named winners of the Northwest category; Rural Enterprise.
The final was in London of which David Graham ( Chairman ), Tenants Keith Taylor, Bev Percy & Myself were invited to go to the Houses of Parliament by Baroness Golding to attend a reception.
We enjoyed our day, we didn’t scoop the out right winner, but considering there were 3,000 entries we were more than happy with winning the Northwest Category.
We have also won jointly with a community shop at Nenthead an award called Cumbria Social Enterprise. ( Rural Award )
