Hi there. We are Carrie and Steve, originally from Liverpool and Kent respectively. We have a beautiful dog called Alan who you can’t miss as he’s rather large. He does however think he is a lap dog! Although you will not see Alan when you are drinking & dining.
We have most recently been working for Marston’s Brewery for over 4 years and we were last based with them in Holyhead, Anglesey. Between us we have around 23 years’ experience in this industry. Back in Anglesey we had a 200 seater pub/restaurant and before that a six bedroom hotel with a 160 seater restaurant and bar downstairs in the lovely town of Hoylake on the Wirral.
Steve is a chef and has quite a few strings to his bow….. He has even cooked for celebrities like Madonna and Sting! He has a real passion for food and loves to experiment and give classic dishes a twist. He has produced a core menu for the pub and will keep it interesting by adding exciting specials which will change continually.
Carrie is a hands on front of house manager, she has worked in this industry for a long time. She lived for 8 years in Spain running nightclubs with 3000+ people capacity. Carrie has managed numerous restaurants and pubs in this country too.
We are both very excited about our new venture and look forward to meeting everybody if we haven’t already. We would also like to thank the community for being so welcoming to us. We are really happy to be here and hope that we can make The Butchers Arms the best it has been!
